Explore the wilderness of Katun Roads with us

IADK

It is true that mountains lift our spirits, we’ve test it ourselves. Those who dare to hike the cross-border area of Kosovo and Montenegro are able to see a whole different world. These areas harbour a wealth of species – some well-known, some unique – that are perfectly adapted to the high altitudes and, often are found nowhere else on earth.

A glimpse of the rare species of plants, medical and aromatic herbs, or critically endangered animals such as the Balkan Lynx, must be among the most inspiring sights in the natural world. The mountainous terrain is indeed a biodiversity hotspot, and although biodiversity decreases with altitude, the species that do adapt are exceptional to these highlands.

Browse the Flora and Fauna of Katun Roads leaflet with us before taking the journey to the spectacular peaks of Kosovo’s most beloved mountains.
